Be a Walker

The 2008 Stroll for Sudan has been relocated due to flooding! It is now being held at Horace White park on Grand Ave. in downtown Beloit. We will be handing out maps at our original location, Riverside Park's Jones Pavilion to those who need one. It will still begin at 11am on Saturday, June 21.

A hot dog picnic will be served free to all walkers.

The Stroll for Sudan is a youth organized walk-a-thon, meaning that our primary method of collecting money for the people of Darfur is through walkers collecting pledges ahead of time. Below you will find all the necessary forms for doing this. Pledges are not collected on a lap by lap or mile be mile basis. Last year we raised $4,700. The walk is 3.3 miles and proceeds through downtown Beloit. Everyone is invited to bring friends and family. Strollers, wagons, and roller blades are fine as well.

If you cannot attend the stroll or do not wish to collect pledges, donations are also accepted. They can be brought to the stroll on June 21 or mailed to RoL United Methodist Church. Checks can be made out to River of Life United Methodist Church with Stroll for Sudan in the memo line. Donations are tax-deductible and can be dropped off or mailed to
